Ugg Boots are UGGLY
Uggs are a brand of Australian sheepskin boots that are common around the world. The name is taken from an Old-Middle English word, "ye oughlye", which evolved into "ugly" and subsequently, for the language-challenged, just "ug". Since Australians live downunder, they are somewhat perplexed by basical concepts like "winter=cold, summer=hot"; this explains why they think that ugg means "extremely posh". In North America (particularly the United States), another notorious language-challenged country, Uggs have come a long way, meaning that so many girls actually buy these hideous boots. I don't know how, but these boots have grown into one of the biggest fashion statements, ever. Yes. Ever. Don't ask me why, but people have weird taste in fashion. Strange enough, Uggs are made for guys, too.
